Change can be a good thing: A New Home Page

Those of you who have been following our blog this year will notice a new look to the blog today. When you reach our blog site, you are seeing this post instead of a slideshow. So what’s going on?

Previously when you clicked on, you reached a Home page with a slideshow and a brief description of our boating background, as well as a short summary of what this blog is about. Then you had to click the Posts link to reach the page with our posts.

Now that we’ve been at it for a while, it seems more appropriate to have our Home page display our most recent post. On the Home page, you can scroll down to read previous posts, or find links to them in the sidebar, which lists our 20 most recent posts as well as monthly archives of earlier posts.

The slideshow and brief description of our boating background is now on a page called “Background,” which you can find by clicking the Background link in the menu bar at the top of the page, or here.

We have also added links to a few of our favorite boating websites in the sidebar, below the list of recent posts and monthly archives. We’ve included links to a few websites we like, such as the Waggoner Cruising Guide, Pacific Northwest marine weather sites, and some of our favorite B.C. marinas/resorts along the Inside Passage.

We hope you like the new look!
